Shaving in the simpler times. You used a single blade in an all-metal razor. A puck of soap, a badger brush… no carbon footprint. Just imagine today, all those plastic razor handles that go obsolete when the new thing comes out. All those plastic cartridges that fill up the landfill. All those CFC compressed cans of goo messin’ the up the fuckin’ o-zone.

Aqua Velva, one of my favorites, just switched it’s bottle from glass to plastic. I feel like a staple of American advertising, baseball, and shaving has all gone at once. And to return again — filling up the landfill.

Love that jingle — “There’s something about an Aqua Velva man”.
